It is time to diverge for an evening of darker beats with several of North Americas leading talents. EGR Records invites you back to our studio, called "The Bubble"... There have been many improvements since the last event including a dance floor and a new 1080p projector..

The main sound system is yet to be installed at The Bubble, but we'll be rocking out to an 8.2 EAW 2D surround array powered by Periphony Systems technology.

For Diverge I'm quite happy to be working with several local and national/international DJs/producers:

Time Performer Affiliation
9pm to 10pm Disfigured Hipsters, SF
10pm to 11pm Xeyes deBASSer; SF
11pm to 12am Catharsis EGR Records; SF
12am to 1:30am Matt K. Omerta / Niytrus; Atlanta
1:30am to 3am Gunjack (live PA) Omerta / Niytrus; Mexico City
3am to 4am Orgnsm Iom, Konstrukt; SF

Genres represented will range from techno to hard techno, hardcore, & powernoise. It's quite nice to have Matt K and Gunjack back out here to SF to share recent work with their label called Omerta.. This is some of North Americas best hard techno. Gunjack will be dropping a live mixed media audio/video set; don't miss it!

Artist Bios:

Disfigured Hipsters
Back again to open up the night are the Disfigured Hipsters.. They'll be testing out some new tracks, so come early and give them a listen.

Xeyes
Xeyes is the head of a new outfit in town called deBASSer. Back in the day he was quite the techno head and we welcome him to bring it out at Diverge..

Catharsis
Catharsis' first experience with electronic music occurred during the early to mid 90's in the San Francisco industrial scene. Genres ranging from no wave, classic EBM, to electro-industrial provided early inspiration and a stomping ground that would later translate into a larger appreciation for all edgy EDM genres; most notably hard techno/powernoise/hardcore and the resulting synthesis -- industrial-techno. He heads up EGR Records, so give him a hug or pat on the back.. ;P

Gunjack:
Much in demand as a producer, Gunjack is a part of the third generation of techno to come out of Detroit in the early 90s. Brian Gibbs AKA Gunjack is the founder of the prolific DEAFMOSAIC imprint, owner/founder of the Gunjack Collectors Series and co-founder of the Gameface imprint and has records on many international labels besides performing all over the world. From Tresor, Berlin to Womb, Tokyo, Emotion Club in Madrid, to exclusive loft parties in Detroit and San Francisco, this is an artist who is known throughout the world for uncompromising production and a prolific body of work. Beginning with the classic Outlands single on Sheep records (remixed by Mark Broom), Gunjack has developed an impressive discography and many loyal fans across the globe. From hearing ..Consume or be Consumed.. on the I LOVE TECHNO compilation in 2004, to "Rokugo" on British radio, ..Rules of Engagement.. on television breaks, to noise and art exhibitions in Mexico City; one can not escape the music of this well established and legendary producer.

Matt K.:
For over 6 years now, Matt K has been producing the felonious bass crushing tunes that keep the dance floors shaking with his unique style of "Gangsta-Tech", the fusion of mayhem, violence, and ass rattling grooves. Reprehensibly hard, and deplorably infectious, his skill and determination seethe through with every performance. His previous collaborations have netted airplay on the notorious Radio 1, as well as receiving positive feedback from the likes of Carl Cox & Chris Liberator. Check out his new mini-album with fellow rioter, Gunjack, entitled "Street Justice" due out as a part of the Gunjack Collectors Series.

Orgnsm:
Orgnsm blends dark trance with more abrasive beats and has hosted several local events in the iom series.. Be sure to stay late and catch his set!

This event is $7 (+$0.65 surcharge) and there are 85 presale tickets available.. You can get on the guest list by remitting payment via Paypal (credit card or paypal account) link at the bottom of the event web page. Please include your email for event correspondence:
